Nvidia GTX 970 on custoMac Pro crashes at high load

Hi guys, I have built a custoMac pro using all the recommended parts and almost everything works well except when I put the build under heavy load. As things stand, OS X freezes when I run GPU heavy benchmarks or play game on high detail setting (I only play cities skyline, nothing crazy). I have been trying to figure out the issue for the last few days but so far I have had no luck.

Any idea how I can fix this?

My build:

• i7 6700k
• GA-Z170X-UD5
• Ballistix Sport LT 64GB Kit
• Samsung 850 EVO
• Corsair RM Series, RM650
• GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 4GB XTREME GAMING OC EDITION

I also ran memTest 5 times and it passed all tests. Seems like the rams are working well. No idea how to tackle this freezing issues!

@wtgserpant Did you ever find a solution for this problem? I'm experiencing the same problems when running Adobe Premiere Pro or Media Encoder with high CPU/GPU load. Sometimes the Mac freezes, sometimes the monitors go black.

My current build:
