Hi guys,

I'm planning to build my first Hackintosh for photo editing and product design (SolidWorks, I know it's Windows but I'll be using either Parallels or dual boot).

I'm looking for a graphics card and deciding between the GTX 960 2GB, GTX 960 4GB or GTX 970 4GB.

The GTX 960 4GB would be ideal, but is it fully compatible to use for a Hackintosh? I could not find this anywhere.

Otherwise, I'd probably just get the GTX 960 2GB because the 970 is just too expensive.

Solidworks plays better with FirePro and Quadro graphics cards from my experience. Either way you'll want to dual boot that system I wouldn't use parallels for that. Start with the 960 to save money and consider having a separate windows system down the line with a professional graphics card.

Ok, but is the 4 GB version compatible? Or should I get the 2 GB version of the 960?

Yes, why wouldn't be? Chipset is the one that is important to be compatible, NOT memory.
