Nvidia GTX 770 on SL 10.6.8 & Lion 10.7.5 not working

Nvidia GTX 770 on SL 10.6.8 & Lion 10.7.5 not working (Except ML 10.8.4)

How to enable or make SL or Lion to recognize GTX 770

i tried the relevant nvidia retail drivers, but no solution.

GraphicsEnabler=No

QE/CI not working.

Mine's not working either. I'm on ML 10.8 with gigabyte Z77X-UP4 mobo. hangs at the apple loading screen. Works fine without the card in the pci slot.

A GTX 770 does not have support until 10.8, even then you need to apply the correct settings to get any compatible card working. Some need at little more work than others which is why it is important that you explain exactly in a clear manner what you have tried.

I think you need 10.8.4 to get a GTX 770 running properly. 10.6.8 will not work (its too old for that card) and 10.7.5 is also too old. If Apple had offered the GTX770 for the 2010 Mac Pro then you might have been in luck.

Update to latest OSX or it won't work. Unless apple decides to add support to 10.6.8 and 10.7.5(doubtful), it's never going to work, so just update or don't have a working 770 gtx, it's that simple.
