I have built several hackintoshes but have never used nvidia cards.
Since AMD cards are more power hungry I decided to give nvidia a try.
After a successful installation of Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 I installed the proper kexts:
Lilu
NvidiaFixDrv
Also Installed EmuVariable64 with clover in the respective folders
(Since vram shows 5mb)
Then Installed Specfic Web Driver for 10.12.6, selected nvidia web driver and rebooted After the reboot nvidia web driver was selected but in about this Mac it was showing Nvidia chip model 5mb, and the hardware acceleration was also not working.
My boot Args are nvidia_drv =1, nv_disable=1, still the same result.
Please help me !

Hi there :)

You need to remove the part of the command-line: "nv_disable=1"

This is the switch to turn-off the Nvidia drivers.

To test this go to the Clover drive menu / Options and on the command-line, press Enter, delete the command, press Enter again and then Return etc.

See if that changes anything ...

Good luck :)

Yeah applehacker321, do what UtterDisbelief described above. I have the same GPU and it works 100%, except HDMI audio on boot.

Cheers.

I have tried removing nv_disable=1 but I get a black screen !
I used iMac 17.1 system definition because I'm running a skylake processor

Ok.

Use system definition iMac14,2 - I do, it's fine.

(For 17,1 you need the Nvidia graphics fix-up kext I believe, but I would keep things simple until you have a reliable system first etc.)

Good luck :)

Thanks for the help guys the vram is shown as 4GB and acceleration works great, here's what I did:
Install nvidiafixdrv and lilu kexts
Install web drivers for sierra
System Definition set to iMac 14,2
Boot args are
nvidia_drv=1
