I'm using my GTS 250 under Lion 10.7.2
Works excellent but I'm wondering if I need the fermi/cuda drivers from NVIDIA as well?
Are they needed or does my GTS 250 do the trick without any official NVIDIA drivers?

Thanks

I would run cinebench in both mac and windows and compare the scores to see if your card is fully performing in mac or not.

The driver your card need (NVDAGF100Hal.kext) is already part of Lion.No need to install additional driver

Not that it changes the answer, but FYI GTS 250 isn't Fermi... it's a glorified 9800GTX. And it's a fine card for OS X - I use one myself ;-)

Of course you're right mate, the GTS 250 has an G92 GPU (can't keep all specifications in my mind, :banghead: sorry for that inconvenience). Then his card need and load NVDAGF50Hal.kext instead of NVDAGF100Hal.kext i guess, my former 9800 GTX used that kext if i remember right. During startup with -v i could see "NVDAGF50Hal.kext loaded and registered".

Hi every one, I just armed my new Hackintosh. I Have a Gigabyte GTX 550Ti 1GB GDDR5 graphic card but is running at 10245 x 768 and don't know how to get fully running.
Is this card compatible with my sytem? or do I need to replace it?
I'm runinng OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8

THANKS IN ADVANCE
