yes those kepler cards are our only salvation for nowThere are articles out there now saying that Nvidia will be dropping support for their Kepler cards soon. They mention the mobile cards at first. If they kill off driver support it may affect Apple drivers for newer programs.??? Let’s hope Apple doesn’t drop the only Nvidia cards we can use in the next version of software 10.15.
because they are a cheap , so we don't have to spend too much money to get a temporary replacement
unless the person wants to switch to AMD
I can easily buy a 580 if I want to,
but that is exactly the reason why I don't buy one, because I don't want to
no disrespect to AMD users but I don't like AMD
yes I understand they work exceptionally well on Mac OS but still I don't like the brand
like a said before, I don't mean no disrespect
please don't take my comment personal or like some kind of attack to AMD
that is not my intention, the same way there are many AMD owners that don't like NVIDIA cards
for whatever reason, so is all good
I already own a 2080 I just regret not waiting another 2 weeks to get the 2080ti
and I'm not going to spend 300 on a 580, when I could it have bought the 2080 ti
if I would have spend 300 more, so if I didn't spend 300 more to the 2080 ti
I'm not going to spend 300 on a AMD 580
that's why I decided to get a cheap old card as long as is supported on mojave
the 740 kepler card is serving it's purpose for now
most likely those kepler card will not survive the next Mac OS update, meaning 10.15
but it will be nice if they do, in case we need them as a temporary replacement
but honestly if we don't have web drivers by 10.15
I will have to come up with another solution, I really like powerful video cards
windows is ok for gaming but that's about it, apple is just lucky that I love Mac OS
but this whole situation about web drivers got out of hand a long time ago
it seems like apple is going to execute order 66
