I have finally started on the task of installing my GTX 660 into my Customac. Before attempting, I read over a dozen forums on the procedure and it looked simple.

1)download the nvidia drivers at http://www.nvidia.com/object/macosx-cuda-5.5.25-driver.html
2)apply opencl patch in multibeast (i have to use Multibeast 5.4.3 for some weird reason for all edits to my customac). powerdown.
3)unplug all power to tower
4)install gtx 660
5)plug in. power up and play with graphicsenabler=no

To start, the graphics card doesn't send anything to the monitor.
When trying to return to the old HD4000, the screen overlaps and appears about 8 times across the screen. No screen dimension patch has helped.

Please help. I bought and built this computer for work (I write math powerpoints for school districts) and play but now I can't use it out of safe mode.
Specs:
Motherboard: GA-Z77X-UP5-TH
Processor: Intel i7 3770 Ivy Bridge
Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws x-series 8GB
PSU: COOLER MASTER i500 RS500-ACAAB1-US 500W
GPU: Geforce GTX 660 (removed)
Optical Disk Drive: LG 24X DVD Burner - connected via sata
Storage: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache

New Update:

If i initially boot into safe mode with the regular graphics card then hard switch the cable to the GTX 660, the monitor works but only the middle 95% of the screen dimensions are visible (aka no apple logo in top corner). I'm afraid to leave it
