I went on nVidia's website and downloaded the Snow Leopard CUDA Drivers, they seem to have installed perfectly fine.

For those of you who don't know what CUDA is, heres an nVidia link with information:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/what_is_cuda_new.html

Here's a more in-depth article, pretty long:

Is there any way to bench test CUDA?? The only thing i found was this "SmokeParticle System" that renders with CUDA, its pretty cool; shows FPS on the top and if you right click it shows you additional options such as lighting, particles, and so on. Also if you left click and drag your able to look around the area.

If you guys wanna test it out it would be cool, we can post average "FPS" here and any other ideas you may come up with.

Heres how to get it:

Download the CUDA Drivers from nVidia ;):
- Scroll all the way down for Mac OS X drivers and tools.
- NOTE: I haven't tested this on SL 10.6.2 64bit Kernel.

Download Link for the Smoke Particles:
http://rapidshare.com/files/291004625/CUDA_smokeParticles.zip

This is a console app, to run it:
  • 1- Locate the folder you just downloaded.
2- Open Terminal window and type "cd " without quotations ofcourse.
3- Drag and Drop the folder you just downloaded to the terminal window and it should look similar to this:
    "cd /user/path/Downloads/smokeParticles_CUDA" and press "Enter"
4- Now Drag and Drop the file "smokeParticles" into the terminal and press ENTER.

Enjoy ;)

What interests me most about the CUDA drivers is whether it really speeds up video-encoding /de-coding on tonymac-esque systems.

Have you tried comparing any encoding/ripping/editing before and after with these drivers... anybody?
FinalCut/AfterEffects/Premiere?

hiside, ninetto
