Howdy.

This turned out to be a long post (I pasted the config files in at the end-in case someone could see the problem). I'll say; "Thanks (very much!) now, and let you read the post, and hopefully suggest a fix.

Basic issue - nVidia 760GTX OC model shows up in system info with 0mb ram, and Quartz Extreme NOT working (or even listed in the system info by the video card (I thought it used to show "supported" or "yes", but it's not listed at all - so it's not the "cosmetic issue" I've seen mentioned. There is no transparency on the menu bars, so the card is not working correctly. I realized that it was doing the same thing under Yosemite (I recently installed that prior to El Capitan - and thought I had a fully working install).

Here's the story... I was successful in upgrading my Yosemite to El Capitan, and all seems to work (Ethernet, Bluetooth, Audio, etc), but NOT the (supposedly native) nVidia 760 GTX.

I have been looking at different forums and done many Google searches, and read pages and pages, but can't seem to figure it out.

I even went back and reinstalled Clover (I moved my existing files to a folder - still on the EFI partition), and still no luck. I used the TonyMac guide (and EFI Clover installer).

Previously, I had installed the nVidia Webdriver, thinking that might fix it, but I cannot seem to select it (I installed CUDA also) - I can "select" it from either the drop down or pref pane, but after rebooting, it's back on the "OS X Default".

The card DOES show up in the system info, with correct name, but shows 0MB ram. Higher-res YouTube videos are scrambled, but will play switching to a different playback resolution).

Something else that I don't understand, is that my system is showing up as an iMac (which is maybe ok-unless that's the issue with it not having a slot for a 760 card(?)), and even if I run Clover Configurator and use the magic wand to get a "Mac Pro" specs/serial #, and subsequently load the clover config file (to verify that it shows a Mac Pro), when I reboot, it's still an "iMac". Just mentioning this, in case it's related to the video card - maybe it's not loading the correct config file? At this point, I'm kind of out of ideas.

I have read people suggesting nvda=1, and I did try changing the config file to nvidia=yes (is that correct?), but still no go.

Currently, as with the TonyMac EFI Clover loader, it shows ATI-no, Intel-YES, and nVidia-NO.

I am running a Gigabyte H87 Dh3 with 16gb ram. I disabled the onboard Intel graphics in Bios, and the computer is connected via a DVI cable.

I did a clean install of El Capitan onto an SSD, but I copied over my Yosemite Clover folder (which worked - but I went back and checked it, and it has THE SAME VIDEO ISSUE).
Again, I moved all the files from the EFI partition (on the new El Capitan install) to a folder (called "moved") still on the EFI, and then reran the TonyMac Clover EFI installer, but still no nVidia.

I DO still have the nVidia control panel showing up, showing "use OS X Default driver", and I can select the nVidia driver, but it's back to OS X Default on reboot.

I DID have the same issue on Yosemite (which I didn't catch until now), even thought I had NEVER INSTALLED the web driver - so I don't think it's related to that.

Any ideas? I feel kind of "lost" in the Clover Configurator, and a little bit less so editing the config file (using Xcode).

Here is the CURRENT Config.plist, and following that is the one I had edited, trying to fix the video issue, as well as change the system info to a MAC PRO (which seems like it should work) - I think I am missing something (wrong symbios file, etc)?

First v try making sure that you select the flag as nvda_drv=1. This is what keeps it from going to the OSX drivers. If you are not using Clover Configurator, I highly suggest that. So let's start there and then whittle down some other things after that.
