Hello.

I need your help guys.
I'm trying to install Yosemite, but all I got is a black screen.
Got i5-2500K / GA Z68XPUD4 with UEFI u1l / GTX 570 / 32GB Ram, got a usb stick with 10.10.5 and unibeast.
The installation process turns into a black screen just after it says smth about ACPI_platform.
I've tried -x, npci=0x2000 (3000), cpus=1... Nothing worked.
Any suggestions please?

Old thread is old... I would have started a new one. Anyways...

Does it say "unable to find driver for this platform: ACPI"

Thanks for your interest to my problem.

Heres a screen taken just before the "black hole" ).
Please let me know if I can do smth else to help you to get the problem solved.
Thank you.

Now trying to get my video running on this OS.
I have GeForce GTX 570 for now. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

Im going to start a new thread.
Thanks.

A small update on my problem.
Actually everything is okey now. Just wanted to post some info here as it might be useful for someone else.

1. When installing Yosemite 10.10.5 / Unibeast to GA Z68XPUD4 / UEFI U1L use nv_disable=1
to solve the "black screen" problem and finish the installation process.
2. To solve the "p-state" kernel panics after the installation try changing your mac description to iMac 12.2 with Multibeast.
It helped me in my case.
3. To get the GF GTX 570 running on Yosemite use GraphicsEnabler=Yes string in your boot file.

UPD: the only problem left for now is overclocking. My i5 2500K is set to 4.5GHz in bios,
but it shows only 3.3GHz in OS X. I found this thread: http://www.tonymacx86.com/ssdt/60390-gigabyte-uefi-ssdt-dsdt-overclocking-7.html
but I'm not sure what should I do about it... Any help please?
