Not able to burn CDs

I got my hackintosh all up and running now, but I'm having trouble burning Audio/MP3 CDs through iTunes. Every time, regardless of the list contents, I get a medium write error. I can burn a CD if it isn't anywhere near full, but if the CD is full or close to it, I get a medium write error every time.

The writer I'm using is an LG blu-ray burner (see http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136181 for specs). It reads every disc fine, it appears this is the only problem I'm running into.

Any help you guys have will be great.

I have the same problem! Same drive! I really need to burn a DVD did you figure this out?! THANKS!

Has this been fixed? I'm still getting this error on my hackintosh running 10.9.5. I have the same drive that was in the buyers guide.
