So, I upgraded my Pentium G4600 to a i7 7700K on my High Sierra Hackintosh today and I decided to run some benchmarks.
Cinebench results (2nd and 3rd results) were below my expectations and the standard results for a 7700K (1st result).
I decided to check the temps while running Cinebench a second time, and I noticed that the frequency was always steady at 4.2Ghz.
I believed the turbo boost should kick if the CPU run at ~100% for a couple of minutes, but it never moved from its 4.2ghz.
I even installed Turbo Boost Switcher, tried to disable/enable Turbo Boost, but I had no luck.
Any suggestion to "turn on" this lazy Turbo Boost is very welcome.
Note: I upgraded the CPU without reinstalling OSX.
