No System Configuration folder

Im desperately trying to get the appstore working in lion and have been trying to follow a couple of the guides on here... however each one says delete netwokrpreferences.plist in library>preferences>system configuration

My problem is i have no system configuration folder in preferences?

I really want to get the appstore working!

I'm having this same exact problem. No System Configuration folder in Library/Preferences/

I'm sure it's a simple fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your greatness!

Also having the same problem. Cannot find the System Configuration folder in my Preferences folder.

Running Mavericks OS X 10.9.4

Well I was able to find it, by booting with the boot flag "-x" to boot in safe mode.

However, why does it not show up when I boot with "-s" or "-v"?
