No Sound - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Pretty new here.. just getting started overall but I have no sound.

  1. New user, X99X/1150 onboard audio
    • MultiBeast 7.3
    • Select: Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALC1150 > √ ALC1150
    • plus √ Optional Optional HDAEnabler > √ Audio ID: 1

Also tried using the script to patch native HDA (reverted /S/L/E/AppleHDA.kext to original).

Followed this guide originally:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-guides/156102-success-yosemite-fatal1ty-asrock-x99x-killer-gtx-980-i7-5820k-update-10-10-2-a.html

(Other people with this board have the same problem it seems like.)

II. Problem Reporting (post to this thread with attachments)

  1. Description of audio problem
    1. No sound output from the green audio jack on the rear of my motherboard.
  2. OS X version/motherboard model/BIOS version/processor/graphics

    2. 266.5-toledaALC1150
  6. System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDAxxx.kext (if installed)
    1. I don’t have this?
  7. Console/All Messages/kernel Sound Assertions - select/Save Selection As:
    1. My all messages section didn’t contain any output, so I looked through the others and pulled from system.log -> sound assertions
  8. Screen shots:
    1. System Information/Hardware/Audio/Intel High Definition Audio (not Devices) - attached
    2. System Preferences/Sound/Output - attached
  9. Chimera/Chameleon (if installed)

      1. or DPCIManager/Misc/Boot Log
  11. Speakers and/or micrrophine
    1. Headphones: DT770 250 Ohm // Turtle Beach X12’s (tested separately, no sound)
    2. Audio port connected: green jack
    3. Selection in System Preferences/Sound/Output or Input: Internal Speakers

I am fine with reinstalling if that seems like the right solution. I just want to be sure this problem wasn't a known issue with Asrock boards or something small.

Much Thanks!

Never a good idea to post other site non working solutions and request support.
