I removed the files and installed SSDT-HDEF-HDAS-2.aml. My dual screen set-up promptly stopped working! (Currently running with my Displayport monitor only, turning on the HDMI monitor after booting to the desktop no longer works). Been trying to redress that problem without success, hence the delay in getting back on this issue, and may also explain some changes to the files (attached).

I managed to make it work with a fresh install with FacePCIID kexts. But I have a bug. Every x amount of time (can be every 10seconds or every minute) I get a sudden loss of audio for half a second. Do you know what it could be? I can make a recording of the problem if it helps.

EDIT: It doesn't happen if I connect the speakers to the case headphone port. It only happens if it is connected to the green MoBo port.

SOLVED: Turning the System definition from Mac Pro to iMac solves the problem.

1- No audio from any jacks – audio devices are seen in system – no sound assertion errors.

    *Using patched AppleHDA [attached]

*Using a kext injector for ‘configdata’ [attached]

    2- 10.6.8

SuperMicro X8DAH+F+LR, latest and final BIOS Version [X8DAHLR1.624]

    (2X) XEON 5680 CPU(S)

NVIDIA GTX 480 [FLASHED FOR MAC]

3- N/A: USING CUSTOM LAYOUT, PLATFORM XML’S, PATCHED HDA, AND CONFIG DATA INJECTOR KEXT

    4- IOREG- ATTACHED

    5- APPLEHDA- ATTACHED

    6- INJECTOR KEXT- ATTACHED

7- N/A- NO SOUND ASSERTIONS PRESENT

    8-

    a- N/A- DPCIManager not compatible with 10.6.8

    b- Attached

    c- Attached

    9- N/A

    10- CLOVER CONFIG LIST- ATTACHED

    11- N/A

I have also attached my DSDT and codecgraph dumps – I believe the problem has to do with EAPD though I have patched the pinconfigs for EAPD on the nodes with EAPD. I have two lineouts each with EAPD node 20 and 21. EAPD

PS- I have to use Snow Leopard on this machine because it is a Pro Tools box in a studio. Getting audio to work through AVID devices is no problem so it is functioning as a DAW computer but some of the other engineers don’t like using Ableton Live with anything but onboard sound. This machine is ‘stuck’ in 10.6.8 [though this was best OSX version in my opinion] because the cost of making a new Pro Tools machine with all the software and plugins would set us back about $30,000

This is the work of a different developer, no knowledge of this method.
    Suggestions
    1. Headphones (front panel green) is connected, mutes motherboard green. If nothing is connected to front panel green, case or connector failure. Disconnect front panel and verify motherboard sound.
    2. Install native AppleHDA.kext and remove injector kext. Run Realtek ALC AppleHDA/cloverALC. Reply with new files,

    1) Sound options show up with multiple outputs but no audio out of the speakers. Every time I try to open a song or a video, it does not play at all.

    2) 10.13 upgrade from 10.12 (sound worked fine on 10.12 / MSI Z270A-Pro / BIOS 7A71v13 / 7700k / 1080Ti

    3) Used audio_cloverALC-130_v0.3.command with y/y/y

    9) Not installed.

    11) Logitech Z623, green plug into the green port on motherboard

Selections are: Digital Out, Internal Speakers, Line Out, Line Out, Dell Display

    None work when switched to.

System is dual booted on separate SSDs, one for Windows 10 Pro and one for Mac OS High Sierra

    Hi there,
I finally got my Mac apps working But when I use FaceTime it seems that the audio works so I can hear who I’m speaking to but when I try to reply there seems to be no microphone hearing what I am saying so the person on the other end does not hear my sound. Any ideas of what I should do would be appreciated. Thanks
