Do not paste boot log into post; save as a file and attach. Remove the log from your post.
config.plist is missing
Confirm, audio devices remain, sound stops?
What happens when sound stops, change audio device, reselect original device; sound (y/n)?
Files attached, sound working (y/n)?

Added BIOS version F7
Removed log, added txt.
config.plist added
All audio devices are remaining when audio is lost (screenshots showing devices present, as attached, is when sound is lost)
Play music in iTunes, cycle through Internal Speakers, Digital Out, Line Out, Line Out, my network attached Home Theater (which plays the sound fine), and back to Internal Speakers - still no sound.
The files attached are all NO sound.

*EDIT*: Can hear slight crackling, max volume, internal speakers.

(Perhaps worth noting all was fine before 10.12.4, spouse hit update and here we are.)

Nothing changed in 10.12.4 for audio. Files do not show any audio problems. Last suggestion; back up system and run the installer over the existing system and install audio.

Frustrating - I did nothing, after replying to all above without sound, several restarts without sound, turned on this morning, sound is back. I don't even know how to resolve this permanently. Intermittent problems are the worst.

there is no sound
EarPods have a mic, therefore, a 4 pin connector. Motherboards support 3 pin connectors.
Choices:
1. Headphones/Speakers only
2. 4 pin to 2x 3 pin. (separates speaker from mic)

Still the same with normal headphones (Skullcandy)
EarPods audio works great with Windows 10.

Regarding possible Windows interference: I have tried switching off the computer waiting for a few minutes than boot straight to OSX, did not have any affect.
I did not remove Windows drivers, might do it to be sure.

EDIT: Removed Windows Realtek drivers and the issue still exists.

Many have reported USB audio issues with 10.12.4 that changed since 10.12.3. I have a USB DAC that dosen't work now.
