Thank you for the reply.

I followed your (Toleda's) github directions for installing a native kext. Extracted the kext, than ran kextbeast installing the native file into /s/l/e. After reboot, my system would no longer boot and went into a restart loop.

10.13.2+ Boot fail after install/no boot:
  1. Boot: Clover/Select Single User (and Verbose, optional)
  2. return (root# appears)
  3. /sbin/mount -uw /
  4. touch /System/Library/Extensions
  5. kextcache -u /
  6. exit (boot continues to Desktop)
  7. Restart
Got me back into boot. I reinstalled my AppleHDA.kext and the computers running, speaker icon visible but still no sound. So back to square one.

OS Version: Sierra 10.13.5
Motherboard: Gigabyte H77-DS3H
Bios: F9
Processor: Intel i5-3570K
Graphics Card: Radeon 5450 PCIe 2GB

Output port: Rear Green port

After i posted, I ran Clover ALC.
script:
Code:
AppleALC.kext - dependency 'as.vit9696.Lilu' not found.
AppleALC.kext is missing dependencies (including anyway; dependencies may be available from elsewhere)
Installed cloverALC and AppleALC, one method only; remove both methods
Install one method
Restart, reply with new files

Appreciate the reply.

I removed both sound installs and reinstalled using Codec Commander only.

Thank you!

Attached are the revised files.

I'm totally confused now.

I removed all sound using the instructions from :

Before You Install Audio - Desktop/Realtek/AppleHDA [Guide]

I only used Codec Commander - which i thought was one of the install methods to install audio. Did i do miss something or do something wrong?

I tried again by removing all previous installs and used the AppleALC, Lilu kexts method. Audio device present but still no sound.

Attached are reporting files.

Thank you!

Yes and yes; completely false. See AppleHDA Realtek Audio/Post #1/II. AppleHDA Realtek Audio Methods. Codeccomander is not mentioned.
Audio device present but still no sound.
IOReg shows audio is installed correctly and working.
Output screenshot/IOReg show no audio device selected
How are you verifying sound?

I'm verifying sound using the speakers plugged into the green port in the back of my board. Also, I've plugged in headphones into both the rear (motherboard) green plug and front headphone output.

I also confirmed the speakers are working by plugging them into a separate device (and heard sound).

It also recognizes when headphones are plugged in.

Attached are screenshots of the System Preferences/Sound/Input & Output selections.

At this point I'm starting to think audio on my motherboard has failed?
