Hi, the build in my signature is accurate, and I'm running a GTX 1080. I have full graphics acceleration working properly, but when the nvidia web drivers are loaded (and only then), reboots and shutdowns both do the same thing - the process starts, I get a black screen with a cursor, the cursor disappears, and the computer hangs there. Monitors do not turn off.

I'm on SMBIOS 14,2, macOS 10.13.1, I have no DSDT, an SSDT generated with the SSDT generator, and an SSDT for my motherboard USB ports.

My config.plist is attached.

I've tried switching to different SMBIOS like 17,1, generally that caused more problems than it solved. Any suggestions?

Why have you selected all of those ACPI / DSDT fixes ? Not required.
If you are using Nvidia why are you injecting Intel graphics ? Neither should be injected.
SIP is not fully disabled - CsrActiveConfig should be 0x67 not 0x3.
SMBIOS is incomplete.
Inject Kexts should be Detect not Yes.

If you have a 1080 :
BIOS - Disable Integrated graphics - Set PEG as Primary
Use a digital connection - DVI or HDMI - VGA is not supported.
Boot with nv_disable=1
May need to update Clover
Install web drivers
Update web drivers to ensure that you have the correct version.
Config.plist - Do not inject Intel or Nvidia graphics and no ig-platform-id
Config.plist - Disable SIP completely - CsrActiveConfig 0x67
Edit config.plist - NvidiaWeb = true as per Link
May need to emulate native NVRAM - Problem 6
Remove nv_disable=1 from config.plist
May need to install Lilu.kext , LiluFriend and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext

Potential Problems :
HDMI 2.0 is not supported - Use HDMI 1.4 (or lower)
If your graphics card has more than one output of the type that you are using then try another one.
Black Screen with MacPro 6,1 or iMac 15 or iMac 17 System Definition
