Hello:

I cannot edit photos in iPhoto, or see slideshows in Keynote, or start iMovie. "About this Mac" shows 0 video ram - unless I open Iphoto first on boot, then it shows 512mb video ram.

I'm using the recommended budget build, GA-B75M-D3P motherboard with the core-i5-3520k and onboard graphics. In the bios I set graphical memory to 1024, the maximum possible.

My multibeast settings (these are the options checked when running multi beast):

1. Easybeast
2. Video: NVIDIA GTX470/480/560T1 10.8.0 OPENCL ENABLER
3. Network: REALTECH GIGABYTE
4. Audio: ALC887/888b v100302
5. Misc: disk trim enabler

Bootflags:
GraphicsEnabler=Yes, PCIRootUID=0 -x -v

The machine runs very nicely, but when I try to edit a photo in iphoto, it is all black, and imovie won't start - complains about vram - and keynote won't show slidehows.

Suggestions appreciated. Do I just need to use a video card?

I have the same MB (GA-B75M-D3P) with Core i7 IvyBridge i.e. the graphics card is integrated Intel HD 4000. It is not supported by MultiBeast for Snow Leopard. In MultiBeast for both (Mountain) Lion this Intel HD 4000 is supported. The same MB with Core i7 SandBridge has Intel HD 3000 with support in all MultiBeast + OS X 10.6-7-8.

As You did not give info about the CPU, installed version of OS X (10.6? 10.7? 10.8?), and also the information about the "NVIDIA GTX470/480/560T1 10.8.0 OPENCL ENABLER" is confusing I cannot post any advice.

On the other hand, if this post would be read by some gu-ru, I would like to get any advice, how to upgrade from my retail Snow Leopard 10.6 to 10.6.8 (with Multibeast) to get work the Core i7 IvyBridge Intel Graphics HD 4000.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I'm using the core-i5-3520k.

Do iMovie, iPhoto, and Keynote work for you?

[SOLVED] No Iphoto, no Keynote, and VRAM ALternates between 512MB and 0MB - GA-B75M-D3P

My problem was in the build. I went back and rebuilt using MOARFISH' instructions exactly, and now EVERYTHING works perfectly.
