Hi guys,
about every second time I boot up my CustoMac (macOS 10.11.2) my ethernet cable is not found. After pulling it out and plugging it back in it always works again. Internet working fine after that with no problems. I don't know why this only happens from time to time.

When booting Windows this problem does not occur.

Motherboard: ASUS Z170-P
Realtek driver installed: RTL8168H / 8111H
DPCIManager shows: BSD = en0 / Builtin = checked
Installed via Multibeast for Sierra.

Is it possible that the check for an ethernet cable is done to early before my mobo actually activates the ethernet port? I can't imagine it being a driver problem since replugging fixes it. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help!

Greetings,
Mr. Litchy

Check BIOS options. Disable any "network stack" or "network boot" options.

Thanks! I'll give it a try and be sure to update this post if the problem stops occurring.

Everything worked great for 3 days but the issue reoccured yesterday and today.
Same problem: After boot I have no network connection -> replugging ethernet solves the problem.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue with my Asus B150M-A. Also installed the 2.2.1 version of the driver via Multibeast for Sierra.
Searched a few days here in the forumm, found no solution.

If there is anyone with an idea. Please help.

I could not solve this problem yet. Does anybody have another idea? It is really annoying having to crawl under the table after every boot...
