Hi! I spent a few hours trying to install Mojave on my new Intel NUC8i7BEH and I finally got it working (thanks so much to @Vanessag for sharing those files on this post, nothing was working until I saw your comment).

So my problem is the following. When I was installing Mojave on the SSD, it asked me to configure the ethernet connection. I selected DHCP and the computer halted suddenly. Then I tried again skipping the ethernet configuration and now everything worked.

But now I can't see any ethernet device, I tried several things like reinstalling IntelMausiEthernet.kext or installing other kext file but still not working. When I go to System Information it shows "No ethernet cards are installed...".

I did got internet working with an Ethernet to USB adaptor (this was plug and play) and this one does show up on System Information > Ethernet Cards.

Am I missing something? Is there anyway to make ethernet work with the actual cable? Thank you in advance!

Hello,
i am from germany and aktive at the hackintoshforum.de
So sorry for my bad english.

My post you told is quite old. So have a look at the german forumthread. It's way more up to date.
There are also bios Scrennshots. So just controll your biossettings and youse my latest cloverfolder from there.

Try the newer folder and reset your networksettings.

Hi @Vanessag, thanks for your reply. I tried the new Clover config and still no luck. And what do you mean with "Reset network settings"? I can't find that option. I plug in the ethernet cable and still it doesn't appear.

Also, bluetooth use to work, I connected my Apple Magic Trackpad successfully first time I boot. But now even though bluetooth seems to be on, the trackpad doesn't connect. Do you have this kind of issues?

Intel BT is buggy on the NUC.
I have to activate it via windows. If the NUC lose the power (disconnect the power supply) i have to boot in windows again to make BT work again.

Did you remove all this things?

  • com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
  • com.apple.network.eapolclient.configuration.plist
  • com.apple.wifi.message-tracer.plist
  • NetworkInterfaces.plist
  • preferences.plist

And just for an other try. Its shure not the best way. But may give it a try. Load bios default settings. Just change secureboot and make a fresh install.I attach my folder that i am using today. I know it takes some time, but normally all should working fine without any other settings.

A friend of mine had some trouble with other bios settings that made problems with the lan connection.

After he set it as attached it works. So make a reinstall and look at the screenshots of my settings. I hope it will help.

@Vanessag hi, sorry for the late reply.

I did reinstall it but the same problem ocurred. Ethernet config on the first boot was rebooting my machine so I had to configure it without internet. Now it's still the same. Bluetooth works 90% of the boots. Ethernet via USB works also although there are some times that I need to reboot to make it work.

Still, I think I'm happy with the build. It's currently my work machine and apart from those issues it's being excelent. Thanks for all you've done :)

i think i had exactly the same issue , during installation my system halted also on DHCP and i skipped that part and ended up with no Ethernetcard today i got the tip on this forum that i should turn on the option FixRegions in the Acpi -> Fixes section , i already had selected FixLAN , apparently i had to select both because after selecting them and rebooting my Ethernetcard came to live and is functioning now !
