No ethernet after 10.6.8 combo update

System:
i3 540 (Clarksdale)
Intel dp55wg media board
4gb corsair vengeance
EVGA gtx 660
Sata to ACHI

Using iboot legacy and install DVD with snow leopard on it.

I've tried safe mode and graphicsenabler=no, but still can't get the installer to boot. I make it to the apple load screen, the dial spins for a minute then my pc reboots. I read that the 660 won't work, but I've also seen that people did, so I'm curious if any one has some advice. Thanks

I've tried safe mode and graphicsenabler=no

Boot flags are case sensitive, get them wrong and they have no effect.
graphicsenabler=no should be GraphicsEnabler=No

Yeah I figured that out, I'm a dum dum. Now I can't get ethernet to work after the 10.6.8 combo update. Tried a couple fixes one had me delete a system config folder, and now the ethernet controller doesn't show. Works fine on initial install.
