No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Attempting to run the AppleHDA patcher (audio_realtekALC.command) that you committed yesterday resulted in the original AppleHDA.kext being deleted from S/L/E

I extracted a new AppleHDA.kext from Essentials/BaseSystemResource/BaseSystemBinaries with Pacifist .
Apologies, my mistake. Repo fixed.
The Pacifist extracted AppleHDA.kext is not complete and will not work.
Extract AppleHDA.kext from BaseSystemResources.pkg and Essentials.pkg
Use ditto to merge the 3 AppleHDA.kexts for a complete native AppleHDA.kext
Download and run audio_realtekALC.command.

I always have a hard time getting audio to work for me.

• Problem: No output devices
• Specs: 10.10.0, GA-EP45T-UD3LR, F10 BIOS, Q8400, GTX216
• Procedure: This guide. Clover set to Inject 1 for audio devices. ALC888 Current v100302 Apple HDA from multibeast installed to s/l/e.
I had to select FixHDA in Clover Configurator in order to get Layout ID to show up in IOReg. It adds this:
<key>FixHDA_8000</key>
<true/>

to the Devices/audio section on config.plist

• IOReg, AppleHDA, Sound assertions.log attached.

• Screenshots Attached

• No scripts used

• Clover stuff attached. Doesn't give me a boot.log, even with debugging turned on. Odd...

• No dsdt or ssdt

Well now I just kind of feel dumb.

*reboots in shame*

edit:
Yup. Works great now. Thanks for the quick reply. Next time I'll read better, I promise.

I'm struggling with the audio_cloverALC-100 shell script. I always get a "syntax error: unexpected end of file"

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Perhaps downgrading to v1.0.3 is a solution?

Edit: Found the bug in the script, I'm now trying to contact the developer to fix it :)

My mistake, repo updated. Delete Downloads/audio_cloverALC-100.command_v1.0.4.
Download new script from repo and run.
Previous version is available anytime there is an issue with the current.

Hello Toleda,
I've been through the install and everything seems to be working ok except no audio devices. I've run through the steps and everything regarding the audio seems to be there...can't quite figure it out. Any help would be much appreaciated.

  1. No audio device. Had audio working in Mavericks, but haven't been able to get it working in Yosemite yet.
  2. 10.10.1 (14B25) / GA Z97M-d3H / BIOS version F5 / i7 4790 / nvidia GTX 760

Cannot install one method on top of another and expect audio success. Each method only works on its own.
Remove AppleHDA892.kext Restart. Reply with new files.
