No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Is this working under Intel x100 series chipsets (such as the Z170) for the Realtek ALC1150 audio driver?
  • I believe I am getting signing errors during the package installation.
  • I also have no Audio devices listed under System Report / System Information.
  • I tried the Multibeast 9.x.x installation method, and also opened the package contents to find the Clover ALC1150.pkg which fails to install.
  • ... and yes, I believe I have installed the drivers via Multibeast several times now.

Is the conclusion that I should not be using multibeast to install my audio codecs?
No, MultiBeast is fine. Result of cloverALC and MultiBeast is the same.
If you did what you said in the HDMI audio thread, uninstall pikeralphaALC (Post #1)
If not, run MultiBeast.

Is this working under Intel x100 series chipsets (such as the Z170) for the Realtek ALC1150 audio driver?
Yes. Steps:
1. Disable SIP/Restart (if enabled)
2. Mount EFI partiton
3. MultiBeast 9+ > Drivers > Audio > RealtekALCxxx √ ALC1150
plus √ 100 Series Audio

I spend my weekend to make audio working but nothing change.
Can you give me the solution to fix this.
Thanks for your help.

Ran realtekALC and did not uninstall.
AppleHDA.kext is not native, install native.
script: EFI partition not mounted, run again with EFI mounted
Reply with new files.

Update: after leaving my hackintosh be for a few days I borrowed a USB audio output device to bypass the whole issue. When I went into audio preferences to select it as output all of the mobo devices were there, and selecting them the audio worked! I didn't do anything to it between my last instructions here and now.
The only remaining issue is sometimes the audio drops out, and selecting a different audio device and switching back fixes it. It might be a hardware bug, but I'm not sure, still testing it.
Anyway I want to thank you all mainly toleda so much for all your generous work and help here!

I've recently upgraded from a Ivy Bridge setup to a Z270 Kaby Lake rig, but audio is the last piece of the puzzle I can't get working, even after a clean install of MacOS.

Description: No audio devices of any flavour

System: macOS 10.12.3, Gigabyte GA-Z270XP-SLI (F4), i5-7600K, GTX770

Procedure: Fresh Unibeast install, bare minimum Multibeast (kexts installed by hand to Clover for injection) with HDAS > HDEF patch, then audio_cloverALC-1220-120.command (see attachment), then ssdt_hdef-1-with_ioreg:hdef.zip as suggested by codecdetect after reboot, then numerous attempts at fangling something to work (see below)

ioreg, Audio/ALC, AppleHDA, relevant clover files: (see attached) - note the SMBIOS in config.plist is redacted, but it's a standard iMac17,1 configuration.

There are no audio assertions or other relevant concerns in the system console that I can see.

I’ve already tried things like adding the HDAS > HDEF patch in DSDT options, toggling the AddDTGP / FixHDA patch as suggested by the HDEF guide (on or off doesn’t make a difference to the end result), toggling kext_dev_mode, and replacing the /S/L/E copy of AppleHDA with a clean one from the installer then re-patching, but I find myself totally stumped after spending all day looking at this. It’s probably something incredibly stupid that I’ve skipped over, but alas I have failed to find it - so some guidance on where to go from here is sorely needed!

some guidance on where to go
Wasted a lot of time, none of those "solutions" work reliably.
See Post #1, Note: macOS/AppleHDA.kext does not support specific hardware ...
Use 100 Series solution.
