Installed audio to a different RFI partition than Clover boots.
Mount the correct EFI partition and run MultiBeast again.

Thank you for the suggestion Toleda. I ran MultiBeat on my El Capitan drive once I mounted the EFI partition. Now I see audio outputs, including Internal Speakers, Optical digital-out, and x2 Audio Line Out ports. But still, I can't hear anything through my speakers plugged into the back of my computer in the Out 1/8" jack. Any idea what else I'm missing?

Thank you for your assistance, I appreciate it

Audio ID: 2 is not correct for your motherboard, Use Audio ID: 1.
Install again:
1. Disable SIP/Restart (if enabled)
2. Mount EFI partiton
3. MultiBeast 9+ > Drivers > Audio > RealtekALCxxx √ ALC887/888b
plus √ 100 Series Audio

Thanks so much. I did a clean install of Sierra, ran multibeast to install Clover bootloader, disabled SIP in the clover config, restarted, ran multibeast again to install the audio drivers, restarted again, gathered the files to attach again.

I notice in the DCPI manager status section it lists the audio codec as Realtek ALC888B, whereas in my motherboard documentation is said it used ALC887. Is this related to the problem?

No, look at codec id; a previous revision was called 888b
Run: MultiBeast 9+ > Drivers > Audio > RealtekALCxxx √ ALC
plus √ 100 Series Audio

See Post #2425, Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA [Guide] | Page 243
pikeralphaALC and multiBeast are not compatible.; result, no audio.
Should I follow these instructions then?
Backup config.plist
Yes.
Run cloverHDMI as well.

I don't have AppleHDAxxx.kext in System/Library/Extentions.

EDIT: Is the conclusion that I should not be using multibeast to install my audio codecs? I've had a look through some of your guides and tools for Realtek ALC audio, but they all seem subtly different and I don't know enough about the subject to work out which is right.
