No Audio Devices - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status

Installed cloverALC on top of pikeralphaALC, result is always no audio.
Remove one method or both
See Realtek ALC AppleHDA, Post #1, Uninstall Realtek ALC AppleHDA

Thank you tolled, this works, i must have used the piker alpha method in El Capitan and because I update to Sierra ...
Thanks again.

In case it helps others I fixed my audio by following steps 1.1 - 1.4 under the Unsupported/Non-working Realtek ALC AppleHDA section here.

I already had the ALC887 and 100 Series options ticked in Multibeast. Once following these steps I was able to run the audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0d.command successfully. Before that it was saying that EFI was not mounted when trying to run the cloverALC, even though I could see EFI in finder. I'm sure I've done something wrong during my installation, but regardless it works now. Headphone jack on front panel and green port on back. Headphone jack is louder for some reason. Anyway I hope it may help some other noobs like me as I've seen similar questions in my searching for a solution.

Hi there,

I've been trying for days to get my audio active. I have a UD5TH mobo with realtek 1150, but the audio just will not work.

Codec detect command gives me this
p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Menlo} p.p2 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Menlo; min-height: 13.0px} span.s1 {font-variant-ligatures: no-common-ligatures}

please help me with how I may proceed!

Well I am still fumbling through my first ever build so the only thing I can suggest is the link in my previous post and run through the checklists there, adding anything in that you haven't already done. I'm assuming you've selected the right injections in Multibeast etc? and used the audio_cloverALC?

Hello. Problems again.
  1. Audio appears to be broken again. Previously used Toleda's Post #1 method to fix audio. After system crash and Disk Utility repair of system drive, now the only audio outputs available are to Apple TV via home network.
  2. OS X 10.11.4, GA-X79S-UP5-Wifi, i7-3930K, Bios F4u, GTX 970 and GTX 680
  3. Used the guide referenced in this Post #1
    1. Multibeast/ALC898. Restart. No audio. Then Multibeast/Voodoo HDA v2.8.8. Restart. No audio.
    2. Disabled SIP for unsigned kexts.
    3. Copied SSDT-HDEF+-1.aml into EFI/.../patched folder
    4. Restart. No audio.
    5. Unsure, might be audio_codecdetect_c2.0 terminal output in the attached For Toleda 5.zip
  4. Attached

  7. Not installed
  8. Console
    1. Searched for "Sound Assertions" in the console. Found none.

  10. I don't think I used one of those scripts.
  11. Not installed.
  12. Clover

Thank you very much for your help.

Copied SSDT-HDEF+-1.aml into EFI/.../patched folder
boot log:
7:782 0:000 Inserting SSDT-SB-OC.aml from EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\patched ... Success

Clover is using a different EFI partition than the EFI partition audio was installed in
Boot the correct EFI or install audio in the same EFI partition Clover boots

Thank you for your reply.

I shutdown and physically disconnected my backup drive (which also has an EFI partition) and tried again after double checking that SSDT-HDEF+-1.aml was in the folder. I'm unsure why a different EFI partition is loading. I manually choose my main drive each time at the Clover boot screen (or allow it to timeout and it chooses the main drive).

The bootlog is attached, but I think the relevant line is:
5:478 0:000 Inserting SSDT-HDEF+-1.aml from EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\patched ... Success

I also tried it with the SSDT-SB-OC.aml file in the correct folder.

Either way, no audio.

After another reboot, audio is working as expected.

However, the Clover boot screen is now grey on blue instead of the usual white on black, and my second monitor won't display the desktop.

The only change is that I disconnected my backup drive.

I realize that the monitor issue is off topic, but any help is appreciated.
