No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

Try the splitter with a 3.5 mm mobile phone headset.

The Xiaomi Hybrid Pro headset is a mobile phone headset. I've tried a few other phone headsets too and they all have the same issue.

The mic does 'work' if I hold it right up to my mouth and have the input volume in the Sound system preference maxed out. But if the mic hangs where it normally does you can barely hear me. I only have they volume at 50% on my MBP as a comparison and that is loud enough. If I try turning the "ambient noise reduction" off the static is louder than my voice.

Thanks again for your time.

*** EDIT***
My SMBIOS is set to be a Macmini8,1 could that have anything to do with it? I seem to get graphical glitches if I use something else.

Cheers,
Isaac

Tried to do a fresh install of 10.14 but cannot get sound to work. Other things work just fine though. Appreciate help!
  1. Description of audio problem

No audio. No audio devices found in system settings.

  2. macOS version/motherboard model/BIOS version/processor/graphics

Used clover configurator to change layout-id (1, 2, 3 and 99) but no difference.

But I have only done a few hackintosh installs and it was long ago so being a complete newbie I have probably done something stupid.

  4. Copy of IOReg - IOReg_v2.1 (Tools2.)

Not working.

Comparison is compromised by the absence of the splitter/adapter with the MBP

No

Fair enough, I won't waste anymore of your time. I'll just stick to using my webcam's mic instead.
Thanks for looking.

Remove HDAEnabler1.kext whever it is; disables AppleALC.kext
Restart, reply with new files

Thanks!! Much better now! But unfortunately not fully working, yet.
I have audio when using Display port. But not when using the built-in speaker output (which is the only output available). There are two connectors on this Mobo. One green and one blue, tried both. No sound.

However the sound input works on the pink input if I set one of the inputs in settings. At least there is something shown on the level meter when talking into the microphone.

I tried a few different values for layout-id if that should have made any difference, but it didn't.

Macos 10.14.4
Motherboard Asrock Z370M/ITX-ac
BIOS version 3.3
Processor i5-8400
Graphichs UHD630

Thanks again for the help!

not fully working
Missing: Post #1/Problem Reporting
4. Copy of IOReg
There are two connectors on this Mobo. One green and one blue, tried both. No sound.
Three connectors:
layout 1 or 3, only Green is an output
layout 2, all 3 connectors are outputs

Edit profile for correct motherboard manufacturer

Oops. Sorry about that.

Here is the zip with the ioregistryExplorer report as well.
