1. IOReg/CodecDevice not found even applied fix suggested. Only happened on macOS 10.13.4 (17E202), the same process was successfully performed on 10.13.1 with same hardware. I install drive on 10.13.1 again and it work, so seems like recent new security patch or other update break this.

BIOS version:

MB model: Asus Prime Z370-A

Clean install 10.13.1, directly upgrade to 10.13.4 (17E202) without audio patch
Then follow the post: Before You Install Audio - Desktop/Realtek/AppleHDA [Guide] post#2

Post #753:

No sleep in not a valid reason to disable sound
Repeat what you did to get sound working

You are correct, so I carried on. Unfortunately, the mere 10.13-Coffee_Audio_Controller patch for config.plist did not enable a Codec, but rehabman's FakePCIID.kext & FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext did. I installed them to /L/E instead of C/kexts/others, then sleep worked for a bit (I won't detail that more, it's off-topic).
I used "audio_cloverALC-130.command" to enable Audio and it works.

My system can't identify audio in either of the green plugs. It does have audio through USB.

The OS is 10.13.4
It is fresh install on my first Hackintosh:
MotherBoard Gigabyte GA-H270-HD3P
Audio Realtek ALC 887
Bios F7, dated 07/06/2017
Processor: i7-7700 Kaby Lake Quad-Core 3.6 GHz LGA 1151 65W BX80677I77700 Desktop Processor
Graphics: GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 DirectX

I began by following the Multibeast procedure, Step 5 from UniBeast: Install macOS High Sierra on Any Supported Intel-based PC. I installed ALC887/888b and 100/200/300 Series Audio Support.

When that proved unsuccessful, I followed the procedure in https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/before-you-install-audio-desktop-realtek-applehda-guide.219810/

At Step 7, the IOREG could not find a CODEC, so I followed 7.4.2 “Z370/X299/200 Series motherboards, see Quick Fix: Z370/200/X299/ Series Kaby Lake Audio”.

I cycled back through per the rest of 7, but the IOREG never could find an installed Codec.

The System Information/Hardware/Audio/Intel High Definition Audio doesn't show an Intel High Definition Audio. It will identify a USB headset plugged into the system, though. I toggled the Audio in the BIOS to see if that was it, but that didn't affect it.
