No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

Did I make something setting wrong?
What is different between Post #387 and Post #389?
removed the /ACPI/DSDT/Patches/Item 0 (Rename HDAS to HDEF) and tried to restart but it could not boot up again.
Exactly what did you remove? Attach the config.plist that has the problem.

1. Speaker/headphone devices no longer show up. Audio was working fine before a reboot caused it to suddenly stop working. For some reason my DisplayPort devices show up and work, but the line-out from my motherboard does not show up.

Okay, I was seeking help a couple months ago. Long story short discovered it was apfs that was screwing everything up. Bypassed that and had a good audio setup for a while - whew!

But . . . tried to fix something else and screwed everything up. Now I'm back with no audio devices showing up.

Did a clean install but can't get audio devices to show up.

Here's the info - thanks for any help!!
