No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

Thank you for the suggestions. I followed the above instructions and attempted reboot unsuccessfully. I then realized I didn't remove the Kext after reading the actual post - it was missing from the notification e-mail.

I eventually reinstalled OSX High Sierra, ran Multibeast and left it at that before i screwed it up again.

Attached are the reporting files.

Thank you,

Micah

Boot log:
Code:
9:023 0:006 Extra kext: EFI\CLOVER\kexts\Other\AppleHDA.kext (v.281.52)
Do not copy system files to CLOVER, ever; remove
Try again.

I appreciate your time and help and apologies for missing the step.

I did another clean install, ran Multibeast, then followed your instructions to a T.

I can no longer boot. My Clover settings remain the same (as my working system minus sound) pre-fresh install.

1. No audio devices after running multibeast installer after a motherboard and cpu upgrade. Possible cause was doing the process backwards by installing alc 1220 first, rebooting then doing 100/200/300 series + 200/z370 series audio device id patch.
2. 10.13.4 / ROG Maximus X z370 / bios 1003 x64 / 7-8700k / gtx 1070
3. Multibeast

Thanks for your help as always

Same patch installed 3 times by 2 methods.
a. Remove config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/Item 3 (Unsupported_Audio_Device_ID_Kaby_Lake)
b. Remove FakePCIID-Intel-HDM-Audio
Restart, reply with new files

That seemed to do the trick! Attaching updated files just in case you see something amiss. Thanks!

I ended up doing a clean install of High Sierra. Running stable but no audio. Running Multibeast, I install Realtec 887 drivers. No boot. I then follow the instructions:

10.13.2+ Boot fail after install/no boot:
  1. Boot: Clover/Select Single User (and Verbose, optional)
  2. return (root# appears)
  3. /sbin/mount -uw /
  4. touch /System/Library/Extensions
  5. kextcache -u /
  6. exit (boot continues to Desktop)
  7. Restart
Then i can boot again.

I also installed a native AppleHDA.kext that again, broke the system.

Help!

What instructions?

Off topic.
