Install finished, restart required.

After rebooting, still no sound.
And, at the moment I cannot play any media. No video via iTunes, streaming, VLC. No sound via web radio, iTunes...
Don't know if there is a link between these topics but it happen after the reboot because of the sound installation.

IIRC the H87 motherboard audio codec is ALC892, not ALC1220. So "Confirm Realtek ALC1220 (y/n): y" should have been "n".

Ah, my fault.
I just changed the footer not all configuration informations.

So by now I'm using an Z270 extreme which has an ALC1220.


Thanks for the hint, I changed it.

I chose ALC1220 when running Multibeast but wasn't able to get audio to work

3 selections required, see High Sierra - MultiBeast Audio

With respect, surely the point of this thread is to find solutions to "no audio installed"?

Install audio: see AppleHDA Realtek Audio/Post #1/II. AppleHDA Realtek Audio Methods
Select only one method and install.

Reason:

Motherboard (300/200/x299/x99/Other = n): n

n is wrong for Z270 Extreme4, 200 is correct
Try again.
If not audio on second attempt, see Post #1/Problem Reporting; attach all requested files

Ok, then I misunderstood the possible values. Will try that next time.
Now I'm using the Multibeast way which works fine.

With all do respect, this thread is for users that have installed audio and there are no audio devices to select.

I lost audio after latest update in Sierra. I tried following your guide to reinstall but as you can see from my files I have an "Audio device: 0" even injecting ID2 in config.plist.

EDIT: for some reason updating Clover has done the trick, I saw the correct ID injected and used CloverALC. I now have audio!

Clover 4497 set Audio ID = 0, disabled audio.
