Request: remove 1 patch
Result: removed 4 patches, why?
Audio codec is disabled, Verify BIOS/Advanced/Onboard Devices/.../HD Audio Controller/Enabled or similar
No audio until DPCIManager/Status shows codec id

Wasn't sure which patch it was so took them all off.
Audio Controller is Enabled in BIOS.
Restarted.
DPCIManager sill does not show a codec ID.

dsdt edits are not recommended

Thanks for the reply. I am (more than a little confused). Following the link on page 1 to
  1. cloverALC/AppleALC: Before You Install Audio/Post #1

Multibeast has the option for my audio device (ALC 1220), but whenever I try it, I always get no audio output devices.

if I try to run audio_cloverALC-130_v0.4.command, I get "Error: macOS does not support dsdt/HDAS; install Clover patch or ssdt and restart".

to be honest, I don't understand what is meant by "patch kernel cache", "2-4 codecs...", and "inject pinconfigs" in the following. Is this why I get the audio_cloverALC error? How do I "install Clover patch"?

Should I be trying the AppleALC method? If so, do I need to copy $sudo ktextloader Lilu.kext and $sudo ktextloader AppleALC.kext? That would certainly be easier than what I was trying.

Thanks again!
