No Audio Devices - AppleHDA Realtek Audio

Where does it say to copy AppleHDA.kext to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/
Big mistake, remove.
Thank you for your response. I think it was a force of habit from an old build. I have now removed it and performed a restart. Should I run the script again or send through updated files?

Thanks again for your help.

Do not see the problem
Rebuild cache and attach Terminal output.
No idea what was wrong, I ended up restoring from a time machine backup from a day ago when it was working - fixed the issue with no Clover or config changes...

Thanks for your help however!

Hello everyone

I tried to apply the guides for AppleHDA patch for my codec
(IDT 92HD99BXX - 0x111d76e5), but till now I only got the
codec show up in system preferences but no devices on input/output.

I use DSDT injection, but it seems that the codec is not
initialized - don't know if this is because of DSDT, MuteGPIO thing
or anything else.

I tried to follow the guide step by step and tried different
Nodes, LayoutIDs (12, 3) and other patches for this codec with no luck
(also AppleALC). The only semi-working thing is VoodooHDA.

I'm posting my DSDT, Clover config, linux dump and the patched files.
Can somebody pleeeaaassseeee have a quick look if can spot anything wrong?

Thank you very much!!

Hey, Toleda. After a blackout during a boot, graphics, audio, etc stoped working and (apparently) my OSx reseted. Fixed everything, but audio's left (No devices detected).

Before that I used your script of audio_cloverALC, and everything ok.
But after the incident the script outputs "no codecs", and I know my codec works because it did before.
My codec is ALC887.

Thank you!

No codec in DPCIManager, IOReg or Clover; verify hardware
AppleHDA.kext.bak is not native, native AppleHDA.kext required for cloverALC.

Hello Toledo,

I have a problem after updating to 10.13.2. When I use the script to get audio working again, My system hangs on the apple loading screen.

If I replace the applehda.kext again with a original It works again.

I never had this problem before do you have any idea ?

EDIT: I got it working again by putting AppleALC.kext in the /other directory.

It really seems that the script does not work properly on 10.13.2 with 1150.
