Thanks in advance for having a look …
  1. No audio, no audio outputs listed. I've limped this system along for a few years now (as you'll see from my specs). Everything was fine until I hit a dead end with my Nvidia GPU and High Sierra. I recently switched over to an RX 580, upgraded to Mojave, no problems. Then I did the latest update the other day, but no more sound. In the past, I would fire up Multibeast, update something like the Realtek driver, and everything would sort itself out. This time I tried installing the AppleALC through MB, tried purging other solutions, per X. in your guide, but nothing seems to kick this thing into gear.

  2. MacOS 10.14.6 / GA-Z87X-UD5 TH / BIOS version F5d / i7-4770K / RX 580

  3. See #1 above. My config.plist also kicks out an error when I try to load it into configurator. Haven't been able to iron that out, but it makes it impossible for me to tweak it in Configurator.

To restore native AppleHDA.kext, I reinstalled Mojave over my current installation.
I reverted to an older config.plist backup that does load into Xcode.
Forgot to include the IOReg before. It's there now.
All things you mentioned should be fixed, all files updated and compressed below.

Thanks again for your help.
