Need your help to verify several fixes, if interested
Three 887 layouts: 1, 2 and 3
Edit config.plist/Devices/Audio/Inject/1 save and restart, then 2, then 3 and back to 1
For the 3 layouts, after restart, attach IOReg and System Preferences/Sound/Input and Output screenshots
Thanks
Thanks! OK, will do, but takes maybe a few days..

@toleda Thank you for all the work you do. I recently upgraded my first build after many years from El Capitan [-> Sierra -> High Sierra ->] to Mojave and was stuck on no sound. Read through pages of this thread and found clues. I needed to add the layout.

I do not have an FakePCIID-Intel-HDMI-Audio.kext installed.

I have two versions of FakePCIID.kext. One clover/.../other and one in L/E. Should I replace both?

What is the latest version?

IOReg shows FakePCIID-Intel-HDMI-Audio.kext:

Check again, likely, FakeSMC.kext.
What is the latest version?

Ok, spotlight found 2 versions of FakePCIID.kext. "find" found 3 files.
One in other, one in L/E and one in S/L/E.
I updatet all three, but I think one location should be enough? The question is: Which one?

Spotlight and find said: No FakePCIID-Intel-HDMI-Audio.kext. Nevertheless, I copied the kext to other and L/E. Not sure if other or L/E will be the better location.

Should I also replace FakeSMC.kext with the latest version from bitbucket?

After removing files from S/L/E and other (EFI is mounted):

sudo find / -name FakePCIID.kext
/Library/Extensions/FakePCIID.kext
/Download/RehabMan-FakePCIID-2018-1027/Release/FakePCIID.kext
/Download/RehabMan-FakePCIID-2018-1027/Debug/FakePCIID.kext

sudo find / -name FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext
/Library/Extensions/FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext
/Download/RehabMan-FakePCIID-2018-1027/Release/FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext
/Download/RehabMan-FakePCIID-2018-1027/Debug/FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext
