Hello,

I have Z-Book Asus X302LA.

Sound is not working.

This is is Info from WIN 10

Bus Type HDAUDIO
Device Description Realtek ALC233
Device Description (Windows) Realtek High Definition Audio
Device ID 10EC-0233
Device Type Audio
Hardware ID HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0233&SUBSYS_10431A4D&REV_1000
Revision 1000
Subsystem ID 1043-1A4D

Tried
AppleHDA codecs from Mirone's collection. Injection for Layout-id 3
AppleHDAPatcher
dummy HDA
Realtek ALC AppleHDA Scripts (audio_cloverALC-120.command.zip)
rebuilding cache & boot without caches

The result was that I could not do anything to get the sound.

I only get sound with VoodooHDA 2.8.8. Crackle and distorted Sound. I would say that is mono also .

I have FIIO usb dac working out of the box as the current solution.

I do not know where to start now. Any ideas ?

Yep. Reading again and again. I have no luck.

Try to download EasyKext Utility and then install this generic Kext, then reboot. I have the same audio card and it is working!

Works but have (Larsen effect), sound loop between input (microphone) and output (speakers).
Fix that with <key>iGain</key><string>0</string>

The sound is so bad - it appears that the balance between the channels is not working properly.

I am stick with usb dac....

Mine is working fine. Try to play with this settings. System Preferences > VoodooHDA.

If I slide the balance slider to left/right (max) it gives clear sound. But it still gives output on both side.
If I slide the balance slider to middle, it sounds like the Right side and the Left side are combined into one and create like karaoke mode.

This is the best description what I have. With VoodooHDA & AppleHDA patched.
Karaoke sound.
It seems that I am not alone case.
I give up.

Don't give up!!
Google is your friend, I'm sure you can make it work "flawlessly". I have the same audio card and it is working so good!
