New UniBeast fails to install on USB

[rodaddy]

Hello Peeps,

FYI: I love my Hackintosh's. This site has saved me a lot of $$$$!!!

But,

I can not get UniBeast 4 to work, I keep getting an error, screenshot below. Any Ideas? Tried 3 USB cards & always the same. Just downloaded 10.9.4 from the apple store. Trying this on a macBook Pro Retina13,1.

A small bump...?

I'm having this same issue. Cannot create a 10.9.4 installer with latest Unibeast (4.0.2) due to the 'Unibeast drive: Couldn't mount Install ESD' error

Reading around this seems to have happened to few people beofre over the years and the suggested fix was always to just re-download the OSX installer in the app store.

I've now just attempted an install from my 4th download of Mavericks 10.9.4 now @ 5.x GB each time...

If I view package contents on the Mavericks installer and find the InstallESD.dmg and double click it will mount on my desktop fine.


I tried to create a Unibeast USB with InstallESD.dmg already mounted and that didn't work either.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks!

Okay, well I just updated OSX on my system (10.9.2 to 10.9.4) and thankfully had no issue with that...

Now when I try and create a Unibeast USB drive, it works like a charm!
Hope this helps you somehow (original poster)...
