Thanks for your reply!
Is it easy to install?
Never installed a new fan/heatsink on a GFX card before...
Can it be installed on any GTS 250?
I have a XFX card.

To be honest it does sound as the best solution for my problem.
Stay with the GTS 250 but make it silent.

Just a question about the Accelero.
I saw you need a Turbo Module for it to work with the GTS 250.
They are just 2 fans on a plastic holding right? Are they really needed?
If so can't I just better buy an Accelero TWIN TURBO Pro?
Which already has 2 fans on it...

Hello,

I have an Accelero S1 rev 2 and yes, in my opinion it is better to have a fan on with a GTS 250. However I'm using a single 120mm Noctua at 800rpm that is very very silent. Zip-ties were used to fix the fan on the plastic frame

The Accelero TWIN TURBO Pro seems very good. I didn't have any experience with it; maybe you will hear a little bit more noise comparing to my setup.

The Accelero is not difficult to install, but you have to pay a little attention. There are also some little coolers for the VRM modules and RAM chips that are self adhesive, you have to clean well the chips' surfaces before applying them, other way you risk that don't glue enough and they can fall.

In summary:

Accelero S1 (rev 2 or Plus) very good for extreme silence but more bulky (check that it will fit in your case) and you need a fan to be safe.

Accelero TWIN TURBO Pro, silent (I think), very good for cooling, more compact and fans are already installed.

Hope you can choose the best for you.

Can it be installed on any GTS 250?

Usually these third parts coolers work on reference design cards.
Make a search to be sure.

Thanks for the replies! Really appreciated! It's nice to get some quality replies when needed. Cheers for that.

Is it to much to ask if you could make a picture of your card with the 120mm noctua fan on it?
Would be very helpful!

Just checked my MOBO (GA-EP45-UD3LR) and there can be a slight problem.
The MOBO has 6 sata ports and the 2 highest will be in the way probably.

You say the Accelero S1 is more bulky but on the Arctic site I can see these dimensions:

S1: Dimensions (Product) 214 (L) x 136 (W) x 18 (H) mm
TT Pro: Dimensions (Product) 215 (L) x 115 (W) x 52 (H) mm

Of course the S1 is without any coolers.
But won't the S1 fit better in my case?
I could also get a 120mm fan and put it more in the middle of the S1 so it wont touch my SATA ports.

Can you tell me how high it is?

If you check the attachments I just added you can see what I mean.
Attachment 1 = GFX card in my case with the sata plugs right under it.
Attachment 2 = card, accelero can't be much higher than this...

Can someone tell me if the Accelero S1 will be bigger than the card is now?
