plain f4 does nothing, hence I tried with fn. f2 and f3 also do nothing without fn. I dragged kept to kexthelper from your hp pro book installer and got a successful install, weird.

Does everyone like how its layed out?

Maybe map COMMAND to the WINDOWS key?
Great work so far!

Command is where it is on macs.

It would be nice not to have a windows key that does nothing.
Plus ALT would be alt again.

But if we are staying true to the mac layout, current layout is great.

Thanks for your work. Just giving my two cents.

Try deleting the original first.

noob alert, how do I do this? Is this a file somewhere I should delete?

If the windows key does nothing, where it will be the command key?
In OSX this key is critical, you cannot just leave it aside.
If you are planning to use OSX in this laptop you NEED that key.
Also mac users (like me) we have use to work with shortcuts, and the basic "component" for shortcuts are the command key.

And about the alt key you can easily physically change position with the windows key so it will be alt at alt.

Whoops. I used a double negative. Meant 'does something'.
CNTRL | FN | CMD/WIN | ALT | SPACE

Couldn't imagine using creative suite without the CMD button!

Using the above Kext as provided, and it is great. I use both MAC and PC for work, so I'm fine either way. The aesthetics of a "dummy" key on my laptop was my main issue. Personal preference.

BTW. Love the way my Hackintosh turned out. So thanks to all involved.

I believe there is also an alternative way to swap Win <-> Alt keys (Option<->Command), if you like. Edit the Info.plist for the PS2 keyboard kext (/System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/Plugins/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext/Contents/Info.plist) and change the key value:

<key>Swap command and option</key>
<true/>

from true to false. (Current setting of "true" gives us Win:Option and Alt:Command layout)

Can anyone tell me how to install this kext. The idea is superb imo
Do i need to go to extensions, delete the original appleps2kext and copy this kext there and restart?
