New Project: Remapping Keyboard- I want your input!

This is my current layout. Changes?

  • f1- sleep[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f2- brightness down[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f3- brightness up[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f4- mission control[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f5- blank since they are on apple keyboards[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f6- blank since they are on apple keyboards[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f7- mute[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f8- volume down[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f9- volume up[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f10- previous song[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f11- play/pause[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • f12- next song[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • prt sc- f12 (can change to desktop on press) but kept for eject function[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • insert- launchpad[/*:m:3jru3xrw]
  • the button besides wifi- dashboard[/*:m:3jru3xrw]

So set eject to the button by wifi? Or?


remove the eject button from the keyboard. theres an alternative way of ejecting the cd drive and that is by pressing cd drive button x)

Feedback?

I will agree with johncrazer: we are not working with a real Apple machine and, unlike the most Apple's machines, we have an eject button on the optical drive. The print screen button can be used for something else. It's purpose (and all it's good for IMO) is making screenshots.

Just editing source code for PS2 kext.

Not complex, but took work since I'm not a developer. Thanks to mac4mat for helping with it!
 
i like where your going with this. no concerns. I can't wait!

Just installed, fn-f4 and fn-f6 are still brightness down and up. f2 and f3 also so no mission control for me.

I installed as I wanted pg up and pg dn to work, they now do although those are not listed here.
