Hi to all ... and ... good news !!

well, sort off

The Kabylake version of this passive MiniPC do not work .

But, I got a new Skylake version ( upgraded AMI bios ) and it works like a charm !!!

The only change I did in the BIOS was disable VTd, UniBeast install works in the first attempt, and MultiBeast also works in the first attempt !

So now I have an almost fully functional Passive i5 miniPC .

The "almost" goes to WI-Fi and Bluetooth, it is an Intel Centrino, need to be changed, no big deal .

Hi! Can you post here your guide so I could also work it on my device. Thank you

Update:
I was able to installed Mojave but no display graphics acceleration. It only showing 5/6mb and can't do a dual display. Mine by the way is i7 7500u Intel Graphics HD 620 which we have the same brand. Were you able to manage making all this works?

Thanks.

Sorry for the delay ...

I did not have time to try Mojave on it as of now .

It is running High Sierra, and the guide can be the "official" from top menu, I used it on my install

Is there a tutorial for Hystou and i7-8550u?
i just bought it and want to try macOS on it...i'm total noob with this

Sorry for the delay, busy busy here .

I do not have a Hystou 8th generation , so I can not test it ( it is in the pipeline, but my budget are limited ) .

Did you give a try in the Mojave generic tutorial, with just my tweeak in the bios config ?

Both Hystou Kaby and Kaby-R (7500U and 8550U work fine... takes Hackintool to get graphics accel on Mojave). Unibeast 9.1 boots both. Search this forum for Hystou 7500U - the config posted there works perfectly. BIOS - just max the video RAM (64MB) and turn off VT-d. All other settings default.

Not my Hystou 7500U config - but using it

Is it possible to get 4k@60 via DP?

It is working with my Dell 3880x1440

64 MB will probably not bee enough for 4k?

Did not change that, using the config.plist from above works fine with 3880x1440@60 .

I meant in the BIOS. 1536K or 2GB with Hackintool/WhateverGreen.

8550U: I do 4K@30Hz on a TV that doesn't do 4K@60Hz - so can't verify that. Linux and Windows refuse 4K on same box & monitor.

7550U: Drives two 2550x1440 displays, one rotated 90'. Took some config jiggling to get rid of the tint on 2nd display.

I've changed both configs to Macmini8,1 ...
