New Nvidia Web Driver 346.01.01f01 ?

I just installed when it popped and it's not good.

I got to login and into OS X and then black screen after a few seconds. I haven't been able to figure out what happened yet; but I'm stuck. I booted a second time and in the few seconds I had before black screen I switched to "OS X Default Graphics Driver" and rebooted. Unfortunately that is giving me kernel panic.

I was on the latest Nvidia driver prior to 346.01.01f01 until today.

I'm running 10.10.2 also.

It was working fine before 346.01.01f01

Someone with a 4K TV that has HDMI 2.0 should test and see if 4K/60Hz is supported on GTX 9xx cards yet. I'd test but I don't have a TV with an HDMI 2.0 port.

Also, the Titan X is now labeled as such with this driver update.

I have an MSI GTX 760 and I'm working with DAZ3D and iRay Render.

After updating, DAZ3D iRay didn't recognize the GPU.

So I restored to the previous 343.02.02f04.

Be careful to people that use 3D programs with GPU Rendering.

I installed it on my imac 970 strix 12,2 hackintosh.

Using clover. HDMI doesn't work, but at least it fixed the reboot loop if that was plugged in.

Maybe next driver! (heard it was working in 10.10.3)

EDIT : I have to take that back, I disabled NVIDIA injection in clover and I get HDMI!

EDIT 2 : Got it to work, broke it, and figured out how to fix it and get hdmi audio

The following are my settings in clover, there are two checkboxes for hdmi

The following image is what you have to patch for hdmi audio. The one you want for hdmi audio is the last one. You have to edit DE10BB0F

kext patches.png

Here is where you get the device id you need is dpcimanager:

Notice how the digits are inverted.

Mine reports 0F BB and the edit is BB 0F

This give me this

New Nvidia Web Driver 346.01.01f01 ?

I installed on a fresh Haswell, MSI z87m gaming, clover build with an old MSI GTX 650 Ti and the new driver fixed my HDMI audio. HDMI audio previously worked with native 10.10.2 drivers but would get a KP on shutdown so had to install NVIDA web drivers. Glad NVIDA got it right this time. Also gave me 4K resolution option on VIZIO 65 in 4K tv. :headbang: Over the HDMI. Everything working but iTunes HD content. Hoping there is a fix one of theses days.

Want to add something to my experience

Totally forgot I had the hdmiaudio.kext file in my config until slim.jim mentionned it.

Turns out with that kext, no patching is required after all!
