New Here; Will this Setup be compatible?

First time posting.
Just curious if there is anything I should look-out for before purchasing my setup, such as compatibility issues, better equipment for similar price/better value or other recommendations.

Here is what I am certain on buying:
MOBO: 1x MSI Z170I GAMING PRO AC
CPU: 1x Intel Core i7-6700K 4GHz
RAM: 1x Ballistic Sport LT 16GB DDR4 2400
Case: 1x Silverstone Milo ML08B-H
PSU: 1x Silverstone SX600-G
GPU: 1x GTX 980 or 1x GTX 970
(Not Sure on which brand for the GPU, open to suggestions)
HD: 1x Samsung 850 Evo 500GB


Here is what I am uncertain about buying:
CPU Cooler: 1 x Zalman CNPS8000B or 1 x Silverstone SST-AR06
HD: 1x Samsung 850 Evo 1TB

Might I add, that I would like to be running 'El Capitan'
If that makes any difference.

If the mainboard is listed on the buyers guides you have a lot of chances of success, just make sure the ddr4 modules are on the list of compatible ram of the mainboard vendor and do some search on the forum to see if someone had sucess with a configuration close to yours.
Haswell processors are widely supported, the same for GTX9xx cards
