I am running OSX 10.15.7, and OC7.1 after downgrading for the purpose of creating my USB Map. After creating the USBMap.kext, placing it in my EFI folder, updating my config.plist with the new kext I get an error when I reboot.

The error: OCS failed to calculate size of dict field containing <empty> as a type integer, context drivers.

If i remove the new kext it boots fine. I verified that the value under UEFI>Audio>PlayChime is a string set to disable. I cant find any other reason. I tried looking thought the info.plist but nothing jumped out. It seems that the system is looking for a different driver that is not installed but I dont know. Any suggestions would be welcome????

Have you tried recompiling the USB kext? Could be faulty?

Yes, among other things. I finally discovered that the proper tree was changing my driver entries to dictionary which stopped the boot process.
