Guys, please help us testing the new EDID generator (that will be included in the final release of the installer).
The procedure to follow is explicated in the post #21 of this thread.

Hold it for now. I found a problem with OS X Lion and probably OS X Snow Leopard. Stay tuned.

Someone with installed OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion 10.7.x to test the attached package.
This binary should be started on SL like this:

./ioreg_new -n AppleBacklightDisplay -arxw0 > ~/Desktop/test.plist

and the result should be a plist on your desktop with the content of the AppleBacklightDisplay branch from your IO Register.

When you have installed the package, you should get a folder with a file inside on your desktop, this is the EDID information for your internal laptop display.

Wops, forgot to mention. The folder will be created on your desktop. And please, don't do it with closed lid, the purpose of this script is to extract the EDID information for the internal display, which is turned off when the lid is closed.
