I got a new monitor, changed from using DVI to DisplayPort, and from 2K monitor to 4K. Now I have screen flicker.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I changed my model from iMac14,1 to iMac18,1 to no avail.

Installed kexts:

AppleALC.kext
AtherosE2200Ethernet.kext
FakeSMC.kext
IntelMausiEthernet.kext
Lilu.kext
NoVPAJpeg.kext
RealtekRTL8111.kext
USBInjectAll.kext
WhateverGreen.kext

check bios use on board card not auto select. worked for my vizio 4k

use f2 to go to bios. when you select video input? I can select auto or onboard card ! I select on broad card ! auto will give a flickering at screen bottom.

the above solution didn't work for me :(

Tried HDMI and didn't solve either

I don't know. Are you sure the monitor is not defective?

Btw, if you have IGPU enabled and set up correctly, you don't need NoVPAJpeg.kext. That kext disables hardware acceleration.

I don't see it happening when booting in windows. I noticed that the system report thinks it's a 5k monitor. Could that be an issue?

Ooo, thanks for the tip

Yes. That can be an issue. I think you may need to inject the correct EDID. I've never had to do this and don't have any experience with it so you'll have to search for instructions.
