hi all,
I just recently purchased a imac g5~intell isight, it has never been knocked about or abused, But i've noticed that there are some faint horizontal lines on the screen BUT they are not static lines, they will move every now and again depending on whats on the screen. Sometimes they are up the top and sometimes down the bottom of the screen? Is the LCD on it's way out??

Also what is the max amount of ram I can put into it, also if was to put 600 or 800mhz ram in will that cause a problem.

I don't know much about that older Models. I have a suggestion. Please download Mactracker from the MacAppStore (it's free). It's a nice little App which includes all things Apple ever made.

Well iv'e worked out the ram, my model has 2 ddr2 so-dimm slots, so now i have 3gb of ram! :D
As for the lines, would they be caused by the GPU seeing as they move, because when i dual booted into windows 7 the other day and tried to turn down the brightness the mac froze up and had artifacts on the right hand side of the screen.
