I've tried with an X99 sabertooth and the X99-UD5 and for the life of me I can't get it working.

I've tried every single method on this board and no luck. Sometimes it boots the installer, sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it hangs on bluetooth, sometimes on PCI, sometimes somewhere else.

I gave up.

Hello guys,

I need help with my rig, I cannot get to run GA-X99-UD5 WIFI with the 5960X on El Capitan, I have been trying so hard the last 4 days.

Can please someone help me? I have a Titan X graphics card too.

I followed this guide:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312373-easy-installation-of-el-capitan-10115-in-5960x-cpu/

It said it worked but is on an ASUS board.

Thank you.

Try...

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...y-installed-under-el-capitan-10113/?p=2239018

That worked for me on an X99-Deluxe Asus board.

I found that if you can clone an existing EC to a removable SSD, then adding an EFI configuration created using clover then adding Brumbaer's patch through the clover configurator...then physically install the ssd into your 5960X system...it should(?) boot directly into a reasonably configured EC/X99 system.

For me it was a very fast install...and I too struggled for weeks!

Alternatively if you can get Yosemite up and running (easier), then apply Brumbaer's patch to the Yos EFI (it should still boot ok into Yos). If so then just CCC from the removable EC cloned ssd (above) to the Yos ssd then you should be able to boot up into EC.

JUST MAKE BACKUPS BEFORE YOU STEP OOF THE EDGE!
