Sorry for the delay, work wiped me out for Sunday and then I was right back into the fray on Monday. I should have some time today to spend on the Hackintosh, though.

As requested, I've backed up and replaced my clover with the provided zip contents. I then restarted (in verbose mode) and tested jpeg display in preview.app (it works!) and then tried to shutdown. Still getting a panic (photos attached). Just to be sure, I repeated the entire test: boot in verbose, test jpegs (work!) and shutdown (panic).

As you can see from the first photo, the verbose text on the screen is pretty tiny. it's hard to get close enough to be able to read it and get the camera to focus.

Not to side-track us, but I turned off the monitor while the machine was running to be able to see the screen clearly while I was cleaning it, and when I turned it back on it was static and I couldn't get it to come back to normal. I ended up forcing a shutdown (holding in the power button) to get back to a usable machine.

Perhaps worth mentioning is that the computer can and does relatively often go into screen saver and then screen-sleep (not computer sleep) and come back without any issues.

Checking in... Any advice out there for my shutdown panic or display static after monitor power-off?

I do hope the help hasn't dried up. I can live with things as-is but I'd sleep better knowing that my work machine won't kernel panic every time I shut it down.
