Guys, Please help!

I have tried several times installing Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks in my laptop.
Am able to get Mavericks and Mountain Lion work, but after I install Multibeast, everything stops working (no graphics, no audio, touchpad not working).

Here are my laptop configuration:

Processor : Intel® Core™ i5-3337U CPU @ 1.80GHz × 4
Hard Disk : 1 TB
RAM : 8 GB
Graphics : Nvidia Geforce 710M series

Is there anyway to get Mountain Lion or Mavericks to work completely in my laptop?

Not a desktop. Moved to laptop support.

Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Hi RehabMan!
I have updated my profile. Are the details enough?

Are you certain you have only nvidia, not also Intel HD?

Yeah, sorry forgot to mention that.
I know I have Intel HD graphics 4000 .. but couldn't find more details about that.

I would recommend Mavericks.

And yes, you can attempt an install. You will need to remove the nvidia kexts (NVDA*, Geforce*).

Then use boot flags for HD4000:
IGPEnabler=Y GraphicsEnabler=N IGPlatformID=01660003 dart=0 -v UseKernelCache=N -f

You can add the flags that are necessary to /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist (after install after using Multibeast).

You will probably run into the boot0 problem: http://www.tonymacx86.com/25-boot0-error-official-guide.html

See here for starting with Multibeast: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...nagement-sandy-bridge-ivy-bridge-laptops.html

Other details/hardware/solutions would depend on the specifics (WiFi/Ethernet/Bluetooth/Audio/etc).

Thank you RehabMan,

I have another doubt. What will be laptop heating issue? Will it drain more battery? Because already my laptop gets heated up soon in Ubuntu. I have installed TLP, Powertop and Bumblebee drivers to reduce heat.

No way to know until you try... My crystal ball is malfunctioning today.

With correct power management and nvidia disabled via SSDT/DSDT it should not be an issue.

You should not expect it to be easy.

Will you be installing Mavericks or ML? If Mavericks, I will move this thread to the appropriate forum.
